Anger Management Program Empowering Positive Change Through Self-Awareness and Skill-Building At UCDCenter, we believe that anger is a natural human emotion—but when left unmanaged, it can lead to strained relationships, lost opportunities, and personal distress. Our 12-session Anger Management Program offers clients a supportive, evidence-based pathway to regain control, build emotional awareness, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. Whether you're here because you've been referred, are navigating a life transition, or simply want to improve how you handle anger, you're in the right place. What to Expect Our structured program helps clients understand the root causes of anger and teaches practical tools to interrupt the cycle of emotional escalation. Through weekly one-on-one sessions, clients are guided by trained professionals in exploring thought patterns, emotional triggers, and behavioral responses. Each session builds on the last—offering insight, tools, and opportunities for real-life application. Destructive vs. Constructive Anger Distinguish harmful reactions from healthy expressions of anger. Healthy vs. Distorted Thinking Patterns Recognize negative thought cycles that contribute to impulsive reactions. Emotional Intelligence and Assertive Communication Strengthen awareness of your emotions and develop respectful, effective ways to express needs. Processing Shame and Building Self-Awareness Understand how unresolved shame can fuel anger and learn how to shift this dynamic. Weekly Anger Logs Track triggers, responses, and progress to better understand patterns and successes.
